Folders

For your convenience, the section can be represented by folders. By default, a system folder named "Main" folder is automatically created when a user signs up. The first three photos of the "Main" folder are shown while someone views the user’s profile.

Creating folders

To create a folder, press the "New album" button. In the form that appears, fill out the fields such as Album name, Showing level, and Comment (optionally), and press "Save."

Showing level

When you create a folder, you will also assign one of the following showing levels: "For all," "Hidden," and "Not active."

The "For all" showing level means that photos contained in this folder can be viewed by all signed-up users.

The "Hidden" showing level means that photos in the folder can be viewed only by users to whom you grant viewing permission. To provide a particular user with the right to view hidden folders, you should add the user to "Favorites" and authorize him/her to view hidden photos (details are provided in section My messages –> Hidden materials view management).

The "Not active" showing level defines that no one can view your photos in the folder.

The "Main" folder is always a "For all" showing level.

Editing a folder

To change the name of a folder, comments, or showing level for the selected folder, please click on "Edit." In the form that appears, type your changes and click on "Save."

Uploading photos

To add photos to the selected folder, click on "Add new photo." Then select a path to a photo file in the "File" field of the form that appears. Next, click on "Browse" and select a photo file. Finish by pressing "Upload."

If you change your mind about uploading a photo, click on "Close."

After uploading a photo, a photo editing page will be displayed where you can edit the uploaded photo.

Editing photos

Once a photo is uploaded or you click on the editing pictogram for the existing photo ( Edit ), you will have the opportunity to change/type comments on a photo, edit it, or move to another folder. There are three sizes for photos: large, medium, and small. You can separately choose any size for each photo. To edit the selected photo, click on "Edit image" under the photo. While pressing "Edit image," the "Image crop" pop-up window will appear.

To crop an image by cutting away its unwanted parts, drag and drop the cropping box directly over the photo and adjust your cropped area by clicking and dragging the corners of the box. Then press the "Ok" button. To add a comment to the photo, simply type the necessary text in the Comment field and press "Save." To move a photo, change the function of the selected folder in the Move to photo album field and press "Save."

Photos status

Each uploaded photo is screened by the administrator to check its conformity with the Terms of Use.

The table below describes photo status options:

Image newPhoto has not been checked yet
CheckedPhoto has been checked and could be used for rating TOP Profiles
DeclinedPhoto has been declined for not conforming with the Terms of Use
In ratingPhoto has been participating in rating TOP Profiles

If a photo status is "has not been checked yet" or has been declined, other users cannot see it.

Photos order

To change the order of photos, click on "Organize" for the selected folder (for this function to be active, the folder shall have at least two or more photos). After pressing "Organize", the words "Organize Images" will appear in a window where you can select the desired order by dragging and dropping, and then pressing "Save."

Deleting photos

To delete a photo, please click on the deleting pictogram ( Delete ).

Deleting a folder

To delete the selected album, please click on "Delete" and confirm it.
